Kakuchiv0.0.1

Build with AI

Describe a widget. Use your own AI.

The builder writes widgets with the provider you choose, or a model on your Mac. Claude and other tools can build them too, through MCP.

Bring your own AI

Your key. Your model. Your agent.

Kakuchi doesn't resell AI, so there's no monthly fee for it and no account. Use the provider you already pay for, a model that runs on your Mac, or let your own assistant drive the app.

In the app

Pick a provider in Settings

Paste a key and choose a model. The key goes into your Keychain, and the widget builder uses it from then on.

  • Anthropic (Claude)Your Anthropic key
  • OpenAIYour OpenAI key
  • Google GeminiYour Gemini key
  • OpenRouterOne key, many models
  • OllamaOn this Mac, free
  • LM StudioOn this Mac, free
  • Any OpenAI-compatibleYour own endpoint
  • The key stays in your Keychain. It's never written to a file or sent to Kakuchi.
  • A model on your Mac keeps every prompt on your Mac.
  • Not sure which model? The list in Settings shows what your provider offers.

What widgets can read

Native macOS data with no shell commands. A source only runs while a widget on screen uses it, and everything pauses when the display sleeps.
