Privacy policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
Short version: Kakuchi has no account and no sign-in, and it doesn't send your data to us. This page explains the details for the app and for this website.
The Kakuchi app
- No account is needed, and we don't collect your widgets, settings, files, calendar, location or usage.
- Widgets read data on your Mac, such as battery, CPU, calendar and Now Playing. That data stays on your Mac unless a widget you approved sends it to a website it declared.
- Daily counts of keys, clicks and app switches, if you use that source, are kept on your Mac. What you type is never recorded.
- AI is bring-your-own. When you use the widget builder, your prompt and the widget being built go to the provider you chose (for example Anthropic, OpenAI or Google), under your agreement with them. A model running on your Mac sends nothing anywhere. Your API keys are stored in your Keychain.
- If we add update checks or licence activation, they will send only what is needed for that purpose, and this page will say so first.
This website
- We don't use advertising trackers and we don't sell data.
- The site sets no cookies until you accept them in the banner.
- If you accept, we use DataFast analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and see which pages and sources help. If you decline, no analytics script loads and no cookies are set. You can clear your choice by clearing this site's data in your browser.
- Our host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and page requested) for security and to keep the site running.
If you write to support@kakuchi.app, we use your address only to reply, and keep the conversation as long as needed to help you.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us. Depending on where you live, laws like the GDPR and the CCPA give you these rights.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date at the top changes too.
